EMEC 303.3 Accident Prevention & Driver Safety
EMEC 303.3 Webinar: “Accident Prevention” Driver Safety Course Wednesday, February 20, 2013, 10 AM – 11 AM. Done in conjunction with the New England Fuel Institute Education Foundation. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requires companies to provide safety training for its commercial vehicle drivers in accordance with its CSA program – Compliance, Safety, Accountability. This webinar is intended as training for both drivers and managers. We will record each webinar, so if you subscribe to it, you can download it and show it to your drivers even if they can’t watch it live. This is a very cost effective way of training. Traffic accidents are the number one cause of loss for our industry, incurring insurance cost, lost work hours and productivity, and vehicle expense. This course, offered by ICPA instructor Gary LaBrake, has proven results in lowering costs. This webinar will look at the causes for accidents and traffic tickets and violations. Most importantly, it will provide practical steps to show you how to analyze an incident, together with your drivers, in order to avoid these costly mistakes in the future. It's important not to let an accident or a violation "go to waste." You will learn to use them as a "teachable moments" - to train your drivers out of poor habits so they won't recur. Once registered, we’ll give you log-in information to access the webinar, and afterwards, to access the recording so you can offer the training to all your drivers.
